US

I know i love you
and
you know it too
this life it is not
for words i can't describe
as time pass and memories fade
it leaves a tinge of bittersweet taste
a sense of emotional chaos
nothing changed
and nothing will
i can never go back to the time without you
perhaps you can leave
or i will part
but the footprint you left behind
will always be there
i only hope you don't occupy the special place for too long.

Memories

Flashing images captured in the standstill of time
with the magic of technology.
PhotoGraphy
Things we once did
perhaps not the most but more than many others in a lifetime.
I miss u from time to time
Wondering when it all started and ended.
It never did.
---------------------------------------------------
From
long bus rides back to nostalgia
endless walks along potholes roads
more cyclists than pedestrians
roadside stalls and market meals
restaurants to coffeehouses
snowmans to coloured beams
cigarettes, lousy beer and whiskey
bitter, sweet familiarity
just you and me
--------------------------------------------------
From
claypot rice, steam egg to cha chan tings
long walks and bus rides
cable car to windmill moo
ferries and village walks
dai O and lamma dao
cold wind and bright neon lights
smoke and coffee aroma
back to reality
home
---------------------------------------------------
From
food hunts to ramen-shochu love
long walks and sights to hold
tram rides and rain to shield
ropeways to ferris-wheel bright
house, grocery shopping and cooking
onsens and fireworks
yukata to ghost stories
volcano and sulfur spew
disneyland rides and shots
beer, shochu, train rides home
sleeping next to u
holding your hand
drunk
you and me

to be stronger

i wish
i will
one day
say
i like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.

Life...

when things in your life seem almost too much to handle... when 24 hours in a day is not enough... remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

a professor stood before his philosophy class, and had some items in front of him. when the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

he then asked the students if the jar was full. they agreed that it was.

the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. he shook the jar lightly. the pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

he then asked the students again if the jar was full... they agreed it was.

the professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. of course, the sand filled up everything else. he asked once more if the jar was full. the students responded with a unanimous 'yes'.

the professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. the students laughed.
'now', said the professor, as the laughter subsided, 'i want you to recognize that this jar represents your life... the golf balls are the important things - god, family, children, health, friends, and favourite passions – things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

the pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

the sand is everything else - the small stuff.'

'if you put the sand into the jar first', he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. the same goes for life.

if you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.'

so... pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. play with your children. take time to get medical checkups. take your partner out to dinner. there will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. take care of the golf balls first - the things that really matter. set your priorities. the rest is just sand.

one of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

the professor smiled. 'i'm glad you asked.

it just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

Star Light

Chasing dreams.
Miles apart.
A spark?
A massive ball?
Illuminates
My world so dark.
You were the light.
The energy source.
In our two different world.
Under the same big sky.
You decided.
You are leaving.
And left.
A supernova.
A black hole later.
Perhaps we were two parallel lines after all.
Maybe the crossroads was an illusion.
A constellation we are not.
Back to the beginning.

Walking out of the shadows

Taking a step.
Walking out of the shadows of you.
Sun rays blinding.
The little faith I have.
Time is the remedy.
To the love I had and lost.
To you.
I miss you.
For the better or the worse.
At least once.
Just once.
There was Us.

too late

realised it is all too late.
too late for actions.
too late for regrets.
just a tad too late.
to the heart that died.
it will be a long time before anything
or anyone can save it.
hopefully not too late.

after

two parallel lines.
Just a passerby.
not the end-pt.
many many seconds later.
back to the beginning.
ramen. shochu. u.
