Feeling nostalgic on a wet wet holiday... It's been raining cats and dogs for many days now... n it just makes a happy person depressed naturally... It's been 10 days since the start of a new year and it has been busy but good so far... teaching has been fun... my classes are fun and students are willing to learn... as i think back... how so often do we preach to our students the importance of wanting to learn, of putting down their dislike for something and to embrace it to make learning more enjoyable.. to be able to do well in something, we must first love it... but do I do what i preach... sad to say i m not a doer of my words and i admit it... i dun embrace all things and i only listen to what i want to.. so despite how happy i often look on the outside... i get my share of depression too.. but i stumbled upon this quote that makes so much sense... Occasional pessimism serves as a reality check but continual dose of pessimism brings you to a low... more often than not... we tried too hard to be perfect, to be happy... but the truth is everyone is perfect being who they are really and there is no need to change for anyone... Happiness is just a perception... As i grow older, i learn to protect myself more... well perhaps this is the growth from experience... Anyway my quote as for now...* Some pple go through life adding yrs to their life, others add life to their yrs*...
